Molly Baskette, pastor and longtime Silver Lake chaplain, and child psychologist Ellen O’Donnell, Silver Lake mom, for a Zoom community conversation about grieving and creating ritual, giving our kids structure and support in this time of pandemic, helping our kids continue to fledge into autonomy without the glory of sleepaway camp, and how to claim your role as your child’s primary spiritual teacher even if you feel like a newbie to religion and spirituality yourself.

It’s been a week of living in the crazy upside down world of COVID-19. We could sure use some community right now. Join us on Zoom HERE on 3/20/20 at 7:45 EST / 4:45 EST. Molly will be the preacher of the day at Wellesley Village Congregational Church at the 9a and 10a services, followed by an 11:30am book talk with Ellen. Come spend the entire morning with us and this historic, beautiful, family-friendly faith community.
Molly will walk parents and other caregivers through the book, entertain your dilemmas and difficulties, “real play” any current struggles you are having, and give you a little more space around your fears. Child care provided, and potluck to follow!
Molly will be at Lakewood UCC in Ohio selling and signing copies of Bless This Mess and talking about how to parent with both faith and sound psychological science.
